so....I passed the tests on Thursday and Friday...YAY! and I survived clinicals yesterday. Y'all, I was up for almost 22 hours yesterday...and that was going on about 5 hours of sleep. I got up at 4 to study and didn't get into bed until almost 2am...I was at clinicals from 1-11pm. it was fun, but exhausting. my little patient was so sweet though. let's see, have another test on Monday, clinicals on tues and thursday nights. no class on wed or friday.

YAY!!! unfortunately, there are men coming to replace ALL the windows in our house...coming at like 6:30 every morning. but I did get to sleep until like 11:30 today. y'all just don't know how happy that makes me.  :)  what else is new? you ever feel like everything in your life is messing up all at the same time?

oh, and for those who want an update...I got the results from the neurologist...apparently, I have benign tremors. they're not indicative of a deeper problem they ARE the problem. They're treatable, but not curable. Lovely...now people will tell me I have serious issues, and they'll be right! great, just what I needed :)  It kinda freaked me out...but life goes on, ya know. God's still in control. if I keep repeating that, it makes the stress slowly diminish. I mean, really, what have I got to complain about? I have a stupendous family, a home to live in, food, clothes, a car to drive, school to go to (which sometimes seems like a curse more than a blessing), a church family, and so many other blessings. God is good. as simplistic as it sounds, it sums it all up quite nicely. God is good.

GUYS! I GOT TO GO TO SURGERY! it was frickin AWESOME! I got to go with my patient to surgery to have the gallbladder removed!!! and it started out laproscopic and then the surgeon had to make an incision...it was SO cool. I know some of y'all think it's disgusting and whatnot, but it was one of the coolest things I've ever seen...the smell of burning flesh, not so cool, but you adapt. anyhoo...it was fascinating.

sooo....that's a glimpse into my life at the present time...thrilling I know...riviting, on the edge of your seat action...

clinicals have been SO much fun...I mean, they're busy and I'm on my feet all day, but it's fun to be able to interact with the patients and actually care for them. I got to ambulate (walk) a pt. last time...and change a dressing on a bed sore (which sounds gross, but really wasn't that bad).  I just finished another test...this one in...um....NU329 (I can't remember the name of the class).  It was on skin integrity and disorders, impaired mobility, EENT (ear, eye, nose, and throat disorders) and diabetes. I didn't study enough, so we'll see what happens.  I also have clinical paperwork to finish and turn in this afternoon...Good news, though...only 2 more days this week! and then it's homecoming weekend! and Phil's coming home!!! YAY!!!

I had a week off this past week...YAY! I finally got to hang out with Mellie and Ava and Alex...and hang with my parents some (haven't really seen them in like 3 weeks) and I got to visit with my sister and all my nieces and nephews! YAY! It was awesome. yesterday wasn't much fun...for some STRANGE reason I was...what did mom call it?...crumpy? or was it grunky?  anyhoo...grumpy and cranky.  oh well...at least the test is over with...on to class  and then paperwork! fun, fun!

OH MY GOSH, YAY!!! I passed my 2nd Pharmacology test!!! YAY-O-YAY-O-YAY!!!! y'all it was seriously stressin me. and I have Wed, Thurs, Mon, and Tuesday OFF!!! it's our fall break on Monday and Tuesday, and we had clinicals last weekend, so we don't have to go during the week.  I am HOPING that I get to hang out with some friends since I actually have time to hang out now...like, oh, I don't know...MELLIE!!! okay, okay, other people too...but I'd really like to see her since I haven't seen her in like THREE WEEKS! anyhoo...so, I guess I'm off to bed...nothing interesting on TV and no good books to read...and no money to go do anything...I am SO totally loving the college student life. yech. my lovely pink sheets are calling to me....goodnight all!

ok, so...yeah

so I didn't actually fail that test. They threw out some questions and so I passed.  However, the last test I had...Pharmacology. ick. Clinicals start this weekend...YAY! I'm excited about it...oh, did I mention that I finally went to the Neurologist? and instead of saying "okay, you're wacked out and half your brain is missing, but other than that, you're fine" no, no.  he sent me to get an MRI and scheduled an EEG.  MRI's...okay, can I just say NOT FUN! those tunnel things are SMALL. and I had the EEG done this morning. icky pasty stuff in my hair to stick electrodes to. gross. but it's over now...hopefully they can tell me what's wrong now. oh, and guess who decided to pop back up??? Jack.  welcome back to the land of the living. anyhoo...he messaged me today...weird. anyhoo....understanding guys...who could figure?
